If you own a Subaru then chances are good that your motor has a fuel damper. The intention is to flatten (smooth out) the harmonic frequency found in the fuel lines, resulting in a more linear fuel flow. When the internal diaphragm fails, the result is a ticking noise, most notably heard at idle.

- With slight modifications (remove the rubber hoses), this model can be used on a multitude of different Subaru models ranging, but not limited to; Baja, Forester, WRX, Legacy, and STi.

Install Note
- The damper goes between the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) and the firewall. The direction does not matter.
- We have tested and used feed and return lines interchangeably on the same feed lines without issues. The only difference appears to be the shape of the damper, which usually clips into a factory bracket.

Greg Anson Issues resolved with this Damper: Lumpy idle that sounded/felt like a miss but wasn't registering as such. Small transitions in idle speed as it seemed to drop and recover only 50 rpm or so. Very quiet afterfire sound from exhaust with ear up to muffler when idling. slightly harsh transitions from off/on throttle conditions most noticeably felt in first or second gear. Slight growly noise in low load conditions cruising, slightly louder in higher gears where rpms were around 3k.
Bought a feed line damper first...didn't resolve it so on a whim did return line just to rule it out and that was the issue.
Needed replacement at 60k miles. No ticking noises at idle.
